Governor Tang Renjian held talks with Chen Wu, chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on March 2.
Tang Renjian said that currently the largest opportunity facing Gansu is brought by the Belt and Road Initiative and the most favorable condition is created by the opening of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, which is like a match maker that closely connects us together. Gansu is ready to work together with Guangxi to implement relevant cooperation agreements, promote the joint development of land and sea and achieve win-win development.
Chen Wu said that the geographic advantages of Guangxi have become more prominent and the new round opening up and development have been further promoted after the approval of the construction of China-ASEAN information port and development of the open financial portals facing ASEAN, as well as the promotion of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor to a national strategy. Under the new circumstances, he hoped that the two sides could further strengthen pragmatic cooperation, deeply match advantages of the two sides, and work together to transform the corridor link into economic advantages and promote the level of opening up.
Qin Rupei, executive vice governor of Guangxi, Huang Zhou, secretary general of the government of Guangxi autonomous region, Song Liang, executive vice governor of Gansu, and Li Zhixun, secretary general of Gansu provincial people’s government, attended the meeting.
The both sides signed "one plus four" cooperation agreements after the meeting. One general agreement is the Action Plan for Economic and Social Development Cooperation (2019-2022) signed by Qin Rupei and Song Liang on behalf of the two provincial and regional governments respectively, and the four specific cooperation agreements, including the Special Action Plan for Industrial Cooperation, the Special Action Plan for Economic and Trade Cooperation, the Special Action Plan for Agricultural Regional Development, the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the Silk Road Information Port Co., Ltd. and China-ASEAN Information Port Company, were singed by the relevant departments from both sides.
