On January 21, 2019, Silk Road Information Port Co., Ltd. organized a review meeting on the feasibility study report of the cloud platform project of Zijinyun Data Center in Room 3210 of Gansu Investment Building.
A seven-member expert group was invited to attend the review, including officials and professional technicians from School of Electronic and Information Engineering of Lanzhou Jiaotong University, Distributed & Embedded System Lab of Lanzhou University, Digital Fujian Cloud Computing Operating Co., Ltd., China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Gansu City Big Data Operating Co., Ltd., Shanghai Post and Telecommunications Design Consulting Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Gansu Power Investment Group Co., Ltd. It also invited technical experts, scholars and managers from VMware Western China, IBM, DHC Software Co., Ltd., Alibaba Cloud Computing Co. Ltd., Lenovo Group, Inspur, Huawei, Lanzhou Guanyun Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., and China Information Consulting & Designing Institute Co., Ltd.
At the meeting, the expert group reviewed in detail the "Feasibility Study Report of Cloud Platform Project of Zijinyun Data Center", listened to the compilation and content introduction of the report made by China Information Consulting & Designing Institute Co., Ltd., as well as questioned and demonstrated its rationality and economic feasibility. After review and discussion, the expert group regarded that the report is systematic, comprehensive and clear-cut in content, and has accurate research conclusions on demand analysis, construction positioning, investment estimation and program plan, which satisfies the requirements of the feasibility study report and can guide the construction process, so it is applicable for the project construction after small revisions. The group also proposed recommendation and suggestions for further improving the report.
It is reported that the data center project of Zijinyun Industrial Park is located in Jinchang Development Zone, with a total planning area of 517,200 square meters, 24 buildings and 50,000 cabinets. The total annual electricity consumption is about 3.8 billion Kwh, and the total investment is about 5 billion yuan. It is planned to be constructed in three phases, which will meet the international T3 standard and 5A green grades. With customized services and diversified cooperation mode, it will fully support the centralized management of government data centers of Gansu and Internet plus transformation data centers of important enterprises within and beyond the province. The cloud platform will provide a "one-stop" supporting environment for the development of big data applications in government and industries, establish a relatively independent and reliable cloud computing platform, realize the interconnection and interoperability of data resources in various departments, and coordinate the management of government and industrial data resources to ensure the e-commerce applications of industries and governments at all levels in Gansu province.
